Sheffield Steelers 2-1 Belfast Giants aot Official Game Sheet

The Sheffield Steelers managed to beat the Belfast Giants in a game that they were trailing 1-0 in after Jon Pella fired the Giants ahead after a goal 12:43 into the first period, the Steelers then leveled it when Ashley Tait slotted the equalizer passed Stephen Murphy with only 42 Seconds left of the third period, then Murphy was beaten for the second time when Jeff Legue  slotted the winner into the back of the net only 40 seconds into Overtime.

I predicted that this game would be close in my preview on Monday, but I didn’t realize how close a game it would be.

Nottingham Panthers 6-2 Edinburgh Capitals Official Game Sheet

I predicted on Monday that the Panthers would win this game and that it would be a blow out score.

 Preview Saturday 10/12/2011

Coventry Blaze v Sheffield Steelers 7:00pm GMT

With the Coventry Blaze in financial trouble and having to off load Luke Fulghum who the Steelers picked up and the Steelers needing the win for their Challenge Cup Campaign this game is guaranteed to be a highley charged game for both teams and should be a good game for both the Home Blaze fans and the Traveling Steelers fans alike.  This game should be a wide open game and will be to hard to predict.

Rank Team GP PTS
1 Nottingham Panthers 8 13
2 Cardiff Devils 7 9
3 Sheffield Steelers 6 7
4 Coventry Blaze 7 5
5 Hull Stingrays 8 2

Cardiff Devils v Dundee Stars 7:00pm GMT

In this Game I can only see 1 winner and that being the Cardiff Devils as the league positions can clearly speak for themselves with the Devils being 5th in the League compared to the Stars 9th place in the League.

Braehead Clan v Hull Stingrays 7:00pm GMT

The Clan should win this game against the struggling and also in financial trouble Hull Stingrays even though the Clan are only 2 places above the Stingrays in the league standings the Clan are currently sitting in 6th place while the Stingrays are currently sitting in 8th place.  The Clan should win this one but anything could and probably will happen.

Fife Flyers v Belfast Giants 7:15pm GMT

In this top of the table v bottom of the table clash I can only realistically see one winner and that being the Belfast Giants.

Results & Review of tonights games along with Sundays Preview will be posted tomorrow morning.
