Cops Smash two Plots For Mayhem

Cops yeasterday smash to plots for mayhem.

First, anti-terror cops swooped on firebrand Anjem Choudary and an Islamic HQ to thwart plans by a banned group to invade a Remembrance ceremony and BURN giant poppies.  Mr. Chodary and his banned group should have there passports taken off of them and there British Citizenship and then locked up for life for there actions

Then 179 people were arrested as neo-Nazi English Defence League yobs — who had planned to battle the Muslim protesters — prepared to storm a new target instead, the protest camp outside St Paul’s Cathedral.

PLOT No1: Protesters who intended a repeat of last year’s “Hell for Heroes” poppy-burning outrage at a service outside the Albert Hall abandoned it after police raids.

Officers from the SO15 counter-terrorism branch first searched Choudary’s home in East London, seizing computers, phones and documents.

Then in nearby Whitechapel they swooped on an Islamic centre linked to the banned Muslims Against Crusades group.

Police used emergency legislation by Home Secretary Theresa May making the group illegal.

After the raid on his home, defiant Choudary said: “Police even took items like utility bills and payment cards. But they won’t find one iota linking me to Muslims Against Crusades.”

Meanwhile, the Met warned anyone burning a poppy would be arrested.

PLOT No2: Shaven-headed thugs of the English Defence League had planned a counter demo to the Muslim group’s poppy burning.

But when that was called off they switched their target and planned to storm the tents outside St Paul’s.

Riot cops kept watch as several hundred supporters gathered outside the Red Lion pub in Whitehall. They moved in as the mob prepared to march and nicked a total of 179 people.

Three were held for affray and bailed. The other 176 were arrested to prevent a breach of the peace and released without charge.

A source said: “They were intent on causing trouble after their plan to confront the Islamic demonstrators was frustrated.”

Met chiefs were last night jubilant over their double success.

Thes’e thugs should be locked up for life for causing trouble just for the sake of it.

Rant over
