This Sky News Exclusive on their website proves just how sly and sneaky the farming business can be when it comes to making money. How can the eggs that these hens produce be classed as Free Range when the hens are kept indoors until 80% of the hens are laying.
What the Farm in question are in fact doing is passing off a semi battery farm off as full Free Range. I thought that Free Range meant that the hens were kept outside most of the time and not until 80% of the hens are laying.
I say good on Sainsburys for welcoming the RSPCA investigation, but hats off to Ocado for removing Happy Eggs from their egg range.
